Yesterday Omeida students and staff threw done their books and proceeded to a local mushroom hotpot restaurant for food and socializing. We had a packed crowd of 10+ in our dining room and we ordered up a feast. There was so much food but I think the diners did well to finish just about everything. Included in the dinner was camel meat. Something I had never eaten before but was keen to try. I really enjoy these class dinners because you can learn more about fellow students and teachers(good and bad) and Yangshuo food is generally delicious.
Our main hotpot was chicken and one unlucky Dutch student got the head. We also ordered duck but its head was massive so people generally refrained from looking directly at it let alone dive in chopsticks first. I was less impressed by the camel, probably because I knew it was camel.
